Why is Canada better for students than the US?

 Canada is absolutely attracting more international students than the US because the US wil bar international students who are attending schools operating online-only.

Temporary exemptions for nonimmigrant students taking online courses during fall 2020 semester:

  • Harvard, MIT sued to block this rule. Foreign students in the U.S. are feeling sad.
  • Canada is much more friendly to foreign students. According to IRCC, if your in-class courses are being moved to an online-only format because of COVID-19, you’re still eligible for the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP). Students can begin their classes while outside Canada in fall 2020, and complete up to 50% of their program while outside Canada.
