FH International Lisesi, Toronto, Ontario, Kanada’da bulunan bir Ontario özel lisesidir. Kanada Ontario Lise Müfredatı ile Online Eğitim
Ontario Eğitim Bakanlığı tarafından akredite edilmiş ve denetlenmiş bir özel online lise olarak FH International Online Lisesi de Ontario müfredatının yönergelerini takip eder. Online okulumuz, öğrencilerimizin tam akademik ve kişisel potansiyellerine ulaşmalarını desteklemek için sanal bir platform sağlar. Öğrenciler kredilerini transfer edebilir ve kalan online dersleri alarak toplam 30 krediyi tamamlayabilir, zorunlu olan okuma yazma sınavına (OSSLT) girebilir, gönüllü çalışma saatlerini tamamlar, ve Ontario Lise Diploması alabilir. Bu program, Ontario Lise Diploması almak, lise sırasında Toronto’ya taşınmadan Ontario Üniversitelerine başvurmak ve burs almak isteyen öğrenciler için idealdir.

“İsmim Melek Metin. Istanbul, Türkiye’de yaşıyorum. 2019 yılı Haziran ayında okullar kapanınca oğlum Murat Kanada’da liseyi bitirmek istediğini söyleyince bizim de Kanada maceramız böylece başlamış oldu. İlk işimiz İstanbul’da bulunan Kanada’ya öğrenci gönderen firmaları araştırmak oldu. Ama o kadar çok vardı ki bir kısmıyla telefonda bir kısmıyla yüz yüze görüştük fakat bir karar veremedik.
Sonra Eylül ayında okullar açıldı, Murat İstanbul’da okuluna 12.sınıf olarak başladı ama aklında Kanada vardı, bunu biliyordum. Derken bir gün sosyal medyada şu an bizim ailemizden biri gibi olan Gökçe Kaya ile tanıştım. orda FH okulunda görevli olduğundan bahsetti. Ben Murat’ın durumunu anlattım. Gökçe bıkmadan sorularıma yanıt verdi. Daha önce görüştüğüm İstanbul’daki firmalar bana Murat’ın 12.sınıfı en iyi ihtimal 2 yılda bitirebileceğini söylemişlerdi. Takdir edersiniz ki 2 yıllık ücret bize yüksek bir rakam olarak geldi.
Gökçe’yle her konuşmada daha bir içimiz ferahladı. Çünkü kesin, emin ve mantıklı cevaplar verdi bize her zaman. Bunun ticaret değil eğitim olduğunun farkındaydı. Biz kararımızı verdik ve oğlum Murat’ı hiç tanımadığım ismini duymadığım bir okula Gökçe’ye güvenerek kayıt yaptırdım. Murat 1 Ocak 2020’de Toronto’ya gitti. Havaalanında Gökçe ablası karşıladı, kardeşi gibi özel işlerinde olsun okul işlerinde olsun hep yanında oldu.
Murat FH okuluna başlayınca çok memnun kaldı. Orda eğitim veren tüm öğretmenler işinde uzman güler yüzlü iyi bir eğitimcilerdi. Murat ve biz ailesi olarak asla pişmanlık yaşamadık. Oğlum Murat Ocak ayında okulunu bitirerek üniversiteye başlayacak. Bunların hepsi Gökçe ve FH sayesinde oldu. Bu yazdıklarım umarım başka öğrencilerin ve ailelerin hayaline kavuşmasında faydası olur. Çünkü biz bunu başardık. İyilik meleğimiz ailemizden birisi olan gökçe kaya sayesinde oldu.”

Önemli bilgi:
- Bazı dersler, öğrencinin ön koşullu bir dersi tamamlamış olmasını gerektirir. Ön koşullu dersin başarıyla tamamlandığını gösteren bir Ontario Öğrenci transkriptinin, karnenin veya kredi danışmanlık özetinin bir kopyası sağlanmalıdır;
- eğer öğrenci bir Ontario lisesine ilk kez başvurursa, 8. sınıftan itibaren resmi not dökümlerini sağlamalıdır;
- Transkriptler, İngilizce veya Fransızca tercümesi ile tasdikli veya noter onaylı olmalıdır.

FH’de online derslere katılmak için IELTS veya TOFEL almam gerekir mi?
Hayır, ancak dil testi sonucu, okul İngilizce becerilerinizi değerlendirirken kolaylık sağlayabilir. Bir ESL dersine başvurmak istiyorsanız veya bir Ontario lisesine ilk kez başvuruyorsanız, okulumuz tarafından düzenlenen bir İngilizce yerleştirme sınavına girmeniz gerekir.

Online bir derse başladıktan sonra ne yapmalıyım?

Öğrencilerin çalışmalarını tamamlamaları, ödevlerini teslim etmeleri, video derslerine katılmaları ve final sınavlarını yönetmesi için bir gözetmen ayarlamaları beklenmektedir.
Ara sınav var mı?
Ara sınavlarımız yok. Her derste genellikle 4 Ünite vardır. Her ünitede yaklaşık 2-4 notlandırılan ödevimiz var. Diğer ödevler sadece öğrenciler için pratiktir. Ara sınav notu için, notlandırılan derslerin ilk yarısına bakar ve bunların ortalamasını alırız. Örneğin, kursun 4 ünitesi varsa, ara sınav notu ilk 2 Ünitenin not verilen ödevine göre hesaplanacaktır.
Geçme notu nedir?
% 50 geçer nottur. Toplam notun 100 üzerinden 70’i dönem içindeki çalışmalar esas alınarak hesaplanır notun% 30’u, kağıt üzerinden yapılan final sınavı esas alınarak hesaplanır.
11 sınıftayım, derslerimi saydırılabilir ve 12. Sınıfı FH’de online olarak okuyabilir miyim?
Evet, 11. Sınıfı tamamladıktan sonra, 9-10-11. Sınıf transkriptlerinizi kredi transferi değerlendirmesi için gönderebilirsiniz. Başarıyla tamamlanan dersler (% 50 veya üzeri) saydırılabilir. Ontario Lise Diplomasını almak için, öğrencilerin en az 8 tane Sınıf online kredi tamamladığından ve 100 üzerinden 50 aldığından emin olmamız gerekir.
Final sınavı nasıl düzenlenir?
Bir öğrenci belirli bir ders için gerekli şartları tamamladığında, final sınavını tamamlamaktan sorumlu olacaktır. FH International High School is an Ontario private high school located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. As an accredited and inspected Canadian private high school by the Ontario Ministry of Education, we offer Ontario high school curriculum from grade 9 to grade 12. We also offer university preparation courses including IELTS and TOEFL preparation programs as well as summer and winter camps. International students can transfer high school credits through assessment and placement tests to continue their education from where they have left in their country of origin.

Canada Ontario High School Curriculum Online
As an accredited and inspected private online high school by the Ministry of Education of Ontario, FH International High School Online also follows the guidelines of the Ontario Curriculum. Our online school provides a virtual platform to support our students to reach their full academic and personal potential. Students can transfer their credits and take the remaining online courses to complete 30 credits in total, take the literacy exam (OSSLT), serve mandatory volunteer hours and get Ontario Secondary School Diploma. This program would be ideal for students who would like to get the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, to apply to Ontario Universities without moving to Toronto during high school and get scholarships.
With over 400 graduates, our students from all over the world have been accepted to top universities not only in Canada but also in the USA, Europe and Australia and got scholarships.
Success has been the word for our Turkish students, so much so that we’ve asked Murat and his mother, Meleek, to say a few words about our school.
Murat has been studying at FH for 10 months and experiencing both our on-site and online education.
“FH High School was a great adventure for me. I had many experiences when I came to Fh High School. Very good school, great facilities for all types of students. Teachers and staff love to help. Highly professional staff with high standards. The school has a beautiful art room and gym. The area where the school is located is very quiet and safe. Also, the school’s online lessons are very useful.
Since there are few students in online classes, the teacher communicates better with you. The lesson becomes more fun and efficient. The teacher checks your homework every day and gives you feedback. So it looks like a real lesson!”

“My name is Melek Metin. I live in Istanbul, Turkey. Our Canada adventure began when my son said that he wanted to finish high school in Canada at the end of the school year in June 2019. The first thing we did was to research education consultancy agencies in Turkey. However, there were too many of them and even though we talked to some of them in person and some of them on the phone, we could not make a decision.
Murat started Grade 12 in September but I knew he still had Canada in his mind. Then one day I met Gokce Kaya, who is like one of our family now, on social media. She mentioned that she was employed at FH International High School in Toronto. I told her about Murat’s situation and she answered all of my questions relentlessly. The agencies I talked to before told me that Murat could finish Grade 12 in 2 years at best. As you can imagine, the tuition fees for 2 years were over our budget.
Every time I talked to Gokce, we were more and more relieved because she always gave us precise and logical answers. She was aware that this was education, not business. We made our decision and I enrolled my son Murat in a school I have never heard of, trusting Gokce. Murat went to Toronto on January 1, 2020. Gokce welcomed him at the airport and she was always there for him and took care of all of his personal and academic needs like his older sister.
Murat has been really pleased since he started studying at FH International High School. All of the teachers were experts in their jobs and very friendly educators. As a family, we have never had any regrets. My son Murat will finish his school and start college in January. All of these are thanks to Gökçe and FH International High School. I hope that what I have written will help other students and their families reach their dreams. Because we succeeded, thanks to our guardian angel, Gokce.”

Am I eligible to take a credit course at FH Online?
You are eligible to take credit courses at FH Online if you successfully complete Grade 8 or already in high school either in your home country or in Canada.
Do I need to apply for a visa to take a credit course at FH Online?
Absolutely not, taking online credits at FH does not require a visa or study permit.
What files do I need to submit to apply for a course?
- Application Form
- Copy of Passport (Biographical Page)
- Official Transcripts, Report Cards or Credit Consulting Summary
- Please note that:
- Certain courses require the student to have completed a prerequisite course. A copy of an Ontario Student Transcript, Report Card or Credit Counselling Summary showing successful completion of the prerequisite course should be provided;
- If the student applies for an Ontario high school for the first time, the student must provide the official transcripts since grade 8;
- Transcripts must be certified or notarized with an official English or French translation.
How can I submit those files?

Do I need to take IELTS or TOFEL in order to take an online course at FH?
No, but a language test result can be an asset when the school assesses your English skills. You do need to take an English placement test held by our school if you would like to apply for an ESL course or you are applying for an Ontario high school for the first time.
How much time do I have to finish the course?
Students who sign up for an online course are given 4 months (Grade 11 and under) or 5 months (Grade 12 courses) to complete one credit, excluding the final exam. However, the flexibility of online courses allows you / your child to set their own pace and complete the work either faster or slower. Students are expected to sign in to their course at least three times a week, but Ontario Law mandates that all courses must use a minimum of 110 hours. How many hours per day will be up to you!
What should I do after I start an online course?
Once you begin your class, you will be introduced to the teacher and receive their contact information. You may ask questions and request submitted work be graded and may collaborate with the teacher using Adobe Connect online software. Students are expected to complete work, submit assignments, attend video lessons and arrange for a proctor to administer their final exam.
Are there midterm exams?
We don’t have midterms. There are usually 4 Units in each course. In each unit we have around 2-4 graded assignments. The other assignments are just practice for the students. For the Midterm, we look at the first half of the course graded assignments and get the average of those. For example, if the course has 4 units, the midterm mark will be calculated based on the first 2 Units’ graded assignment.
What is the passing grade?
50 % is a passing grade. Total is 100% = 70% of the mark is calculated based the term works which are the graded assessments. 30% of the mark is calculated based on the final exam which is a paper based exam.
I am in Grade 11, can I transfer credits and study Grade 12 online at FH?
Yes, after you complete Grade 11, you can submit your Grade 9-10-11 transcripts for credit transfer evaluation. Successfully completed courses (50% or above) can be transferred. To get the Ontario Secondary School Diploma, we need to make sure the students complete at least 8 Grade 12 online courses and get 50% out of 100%.
How is the final exam arranged?
Once a student has completed required coursework for a given course, they will be responsible to complete a final exam. Students are responsible for finding their own “proctor”, or invigilator approved by FH. The proctor will be responsible to oversee the student’s completion of the exam, and return of the exam paper to FH.
What is next after the course is completed?
Once a course is completed, the final exam has been marked, and a report card has been issued, students may request a copy of their OST (Ontario Student Transcript), which can be used to prove completion of the course credit. With this step, you will have everything you need to apply for post-secondary education, or completion of a Secondary School diploma.
